Driven by design with an extraordinary attention to detail, this urban refurbishment project required significant amounts of steelwork.

The 18 outstanding spaces that constitute The Steel Works have their foundations in a solid piece of Auckland's architectural history. Built in 1924, the building was used to manufacture steel windows and doors for the Woolnough Window Co. Ltd.

Purchased by the current owners in 2000, a great opportunity to develop a unique site, using the existing timber trusses, exposed bricks and beautiful steelwork was realised and in 2009, The Steel Works vision became reality.
